Faithful Steps to Freedom - A Burden for the Broken in Scotland
Folks, I live in the west of the Glasgow area. As I walk or drive down the high streets of Dumbarton, my heart is deeply burdened by what I see.

A 7-part verse-by-verse Bible study on the Passion Week from a Wednesday Crucifixion perspective.
You know, I say this so often, and I’ll keep on saying it as long as the Lord gives me breath. I don’t have any denominational beliefs. I don’t believe like the Baptists, I don’t believe like the Pentecostals, and I don’t believe like the Reformed crowd. I simply want to believe as the Bible teaches.
You know, as I look at the Scriptures, I see that following Jesus has always come with a cost. The Lord never promised us an easy road; He promised us Himself.
You know, folks, life can get pretty tough sometimes. The trials come rolling in, one after another, and you wonder, "Lord, how much more?" I've been there. My wife and I have three grown sons, all on the autism spectrum.
You know, folks, when I hear news like this today, my heart aches. Just yesterday, March 19, three young Iranian men, Saleh Mohammadi, who was only 19, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi, 21, were hanged publicly in Qom. Publicly! Can you imagine? Just out in the open for everyone to see.
Well, folks. As I opened my Bible this morning to Psalm 139. You know, I've been thinking a lot lately about what God says about life in the womb. David writes there in verse 13-14: "For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well." Oh, what a beautiful picture! God Himself is the One knitting that little life together, every detail, every heartbeat, from the very beginning.
Foks, as I turn to Genesis chapter 6 in my Bible this morning, because that's where the Lord has my heart this week. You know, Jesus said in Matthew 24:37, "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." And folks, if we're paying attention, we can see those very conditions all around us right now.
